A small sub shop in the Midwest called Erber and Gerbert’s, just put out this animated 30 second spot.
The spot features an animated character on a quest to discover great subs. The animation was achieved with stop motion animation and 150 t-shirts.
What I really like about this campaign is the inclusion of the making of video. The 30 second video on its own is well done, but on its own probably would not have the same viral potential. It is the making of video that will get people talking.
The making of video even features some well planned product placement. The two video below can also be found at www.humanflipbook.com

It is brilliant that a food service establishment such as E & G would create a viral video such as this. Youtube and other video/social networks tap into a huge and growing market with people who are paying attention.
Although E & G was marketing, people (and myself) took the time to watch the video simply because it was interesting and blatantly put, sort of cool!
I’m sure the ROI on this marketing is through the roof. I’m sure more will be following in this path.
