Squidoo, is a network of user generated pages (called lenses) which highlight one persons thoughts, views or expertise. You can create modules, or sections of the lens, very easily and make money and / or redirect traffic from your lenses. On of the modules is an RSS feed importer, which I use on my internet marketing blog lens. This lens was built for the purpose of advertising this blog. As you can see, the lens scrapes the RSS feed from this site and places it directly under the title. When lens readers click the title of any scraped RSS feed, they are redirected to this site. There is a link to this site towards the bottom of the lens and again in the biography section.
Top lenses can send hundreds of visitors to a site PER DAY. My lens is fairly new so the traffic is low, but as the site indexes and I build a few links to the lens, it should rank fairly well on Google and other search engine for key terms.
When making your lens, but sure to include / have:
- 3 modules not including the introduction
- Full biography with image as well as avatar for lens
- Non-money-making modules
