ReviewBack, the first blog review trading website, recently launched. Instead of paying for a review like on ReviewMe, users trade reviews. You review me, I review you. In all honesty, I think this is a GREAT idea. I’ve already requested reviews from two blogs with similar statistics as mine (pagerank, alexa ranking, rss subscribers) so I’ll see shortly if they accept or not.
The site was founded by only two people and their about us page says that is was conceived in May 2007 and that there is no limit to the number of reviews.
My main concern with this site is fraud, and since it’s free, I can’t see how they are actively able to combat fraud effectively. In light of that, I suggest trading reviews with blogs that are reputable. I also wish a confirmation email was sent to confirm my address. Also, be cautious with sites that have low alexa rankings - alexa calculates for the top level domain only so a site on blogger.com will be ranked for blogger.com, not the actual site.
The navigation is pretty easy and the design is fairly simple (which I like). I wish there were better sorting / filtering options like being able to sort by pagerank in a certain category.
Feel free to request a review on the Virtual Marketing Blog, though I WILL be strict about the sites I review.
The site is run by Adgridwork and you can read their blog here. Also, thanks to Gather Success for pointing this site out to me.
