Here is a great video I found of David Ogilvy addressing general advertising agencies about the importance of direct response advertising.
Most of his ideas are just as relevant today, especially when considering that the internet is a dream come true for talented direct response advertisers.
The internet allows consumers to respond immediately to many different forms of internet marketing, and the most successful marketers are the ones that combine creativity with analytics.
