The Weekender: No-Brainer

Peg Davis of MarketingExperiments Blog discusses the rising popularity of “blended search“. She recommends that we all start optimizing our video and image assets to catch the wave.

youTube just announced that it has paid out $1 million to it’s overlay ad partners. Details of the revenue sharing program have been kept mostly private, but Dave Kaplan of paidContent.org has done some looking around and found that an estimated $20 CPM may only be $0.80 CPM.

Coppyblogger writes about the two magic words that guarantee success, “the offer“. He has some good advice about how to improve your offer so it becomes a no-brainer for your customers.

Video is THE marketing media of NOW and the future. Think of the possibilities now offered to your company through the ability to post a dynamic video on your online sales page!

Suddenly you can not only highlight your product’s benefits in print, you can actually project yourself using the product so the prospect has a real time viewing of just what your product is and how it will solve problems for them.

You can show satisfied customers’ testimonials also with them using your product. You can show off your product spec to the very best effect.

This is as powerful as television advertising, with the added edge that only your qualified targetted prospects will view. And for an extremely low cost to your company.

YouTube are pioneering the way ahead: video is THE marketing medium of the future. plug in or get out!

Hi Nial,

Thanks for the mention. You are always welcome to visit marketingexperimentsblog.com, and I hope you and your readers will also consider attending our free, one-hour, twice-monthly Webinars on the latest online marketing testing results and topics. You can sign up for a free subscription to the MarketingExperiments Journal on our homepage, and you’ll automatically get invitations to the clinics as well.

One thing, though: Would you mind correcting your entry to cite “MarketingExperiments” vice “Marketing Experience”? I’d appreciate it (and so would my boss)!

Cheers,
Peg Davis
