Local.com Awarded Patent

According to Techcrunch and confirmed by the USTPO, Local.com has been awarded a local search patent. TechCrunch says:

According to the text of the patent, it covers what they term “Enhanced Directory Assistance”, which will deliver keyword specific ad referrals based on user input via operator, SMS, WAP, or voice.

Very cool and good for them. This is a leap forward in local search and might change the SEO industry.
