I received an email today stating that Google is giving away $400 to try out the new ad creation marketplace. I went to the ad creation marketplace and it appears that the promotion is for BOTH audio and video (either / or).
I also found this page that goes over the promotion in a little more detail. However, is here an excerpt:
To take advantage of this promotion, you must use the Google Ad Creation Marketplace to create an ad, and the ad must actually run on Google’s content network by July 31, 2007. Google will apply a $400.00 credit to your account within 30 days of the end of the promotion. The specialist who creates your ad will charge you separately from the charges you accrue for running your campaign, and the specialist’s charge is not eligible for this promotion credit. Keep in mind that each advertiser may receive only one $400.00 credit.

This is a big blow to eBay which is trying to get their audio advertising rolling.
