I’ve been reading reports over the past few days stating that MyBlogLog will be rebranding itself. Back in January, Yahoo! bought MyBlogLog for a rumored $10 million. I would think the rebranding will integrate MyBlogLog with Yahoo!’s other services as well as a possible name change (YahooBlogLog, MyYahooLog, etc) to further integrate the service with Yahoo.
A TechCrunch post says:
At a conference in Chicago yesterday, MyBlogLog community manager Robyn Tippins told the audience to expect several upcoming services changes.
Users should expect a rebranding and redesign of the service as well as a new widget for blogs with hover-over features. They will also be looking for a way to easily turn off presence so that users can hide the fact that they visited a certain site.
I for one hope there is a widget that will display latest headlines, because I would love to release a Virtual Marketing Blog widget, but lack the necessary programming and coding skills that are required on some of the other widget building sites.
