I am routinely asked for alternatives to Google Adwords, but I can usually only think of a few off the top of my head. However, I recently came across a nice list of Adwords alternatives on John Chow’s blog. The list is broken up into a few categories and contains 130 companies.
Why would one want to venture to an advertising network outside of Google Adwords? Well, small advertising networks can offer a lower cost-per-click or better targeting than Google Adwords can. For example, Google Adwords does not allow adult sites, but others (see the list) may.
