Over the past few months I’ve been experimenting (informally) on how to get a site indexed and ranking in Google within 24 hours. I was able to successfully achieve front page listings on Google in 14 hours for a 2 word term that had 5,000 exact matches. It wasn’t a major keyword, but it was definitely a solid start. Here are a few solid ways to rank well in 24 hours for less cost than you think.
Build a few quality backlinks
Get your site noticed with links. You can build links with Text-Link-Ads ($100 in FREE Links), Squidoo, blog commenting, template sponsorships, and link exchanges.
Submit to search engines
One of the most overlooked parts of ranking. It’s quick and easy, and a number of sites let you submit to multiple search engines for free.
Launch your site with content
Search engines love indexable content, so give them something to index.
Have a solid title tag and meta data
Quality title tag and meta data is an easy way to run with the top dogs.
Bookmark on social bookmarking sites
Bookmark your URL, not spam, a few social bookmarking sites like del.icio.us and stumbleupon.com. It’s quick, easy, and free.
My standard “operating procedure” is to make sure the meta and title tags are rock solid, make sure I’m launching with quality - and a good amount of - content, submit to search engines, bookmark on key social sites, and purchase about $50-$75 in text links from Text-Link-Ads. If you were on a budget, substitute paying for links with a few of the other methods above. I usually get great results with my procedure, with most of the sites being indexed and ranking in less than a day.
