A friend at work suggested I compare today’s announcements against Apple’s stock (AAPL). I did, and the findings are quite interesting.

Seems the stock rose in anticipation of a new release. It remained steady throughout the Leopard presentation, but as soon as Safari was announced for Windows, it began to take a turn for the worse. The iPhone didn’t help much either. Overall it closed over 4 points lower than when the day started. I can only speculate, but my guess is that the stock dropped because there was no major announcement.
Does Apple rely too much on anticipation, guessing, secrecy, and word of mouth?
PS: Sorry for the misspellings on the graphic.
Disclaimer: I’m not a stock broker, nor do I really know anything about stocks. Take this information lightly, it’s pretty much a guess.
